Electrolux launches WaterSavings website on UN World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought

On June 17, UN World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, Electrolux launched www.electrolux.com/WaterSavings, an on-line water calculator that allows individuals to compare how much could be saved in every household, city and 22 European countries if everyone used a modern dishwasher as opposed to washing dirty dishes by hand. According to the calculations* on www.electrolux.com/WaterSavings, Europe could potentially save more than 990 million m3 of fresh water every year if all its residents made the switch from manual to automated cleaning. That is enough to provide Denmark with water for a year.
