This remarkable Electrolux fridge, owned by Jim Williamson of Hope Valley, Derbyshire, is still going strong! Made in England in 1941, it has been in constant use keeping food fresh in a remote Derbyshire bungalow ever since. The previous claim to the oldest fridge was a 1958 Electrolux L460. This new find, the Electrolux L380 fridge, was made in England between 1934-1941 – before or around the start of WWII! We believe this is the oldest working fridge in the UK.

The UK’s premier Festive Food event took place last weekend in London (2-4 Dec) and AEG Neue Kollektion appliances were stars of the show! AEG’s stunning Neue Kollektion appliances were used throughout the show: in the AEG Taste Theatre, the AEG Perfekt Cooking Classes, the AEG Mobile Training Academy and on any stand that had anything to do with cooking or cooling.
