UK Student Wins Electrolux Design Lab 2015

Out of over 1,500 competition submissions, a student from the UK has been announced as the winner of Design Lab 2015. Jordan Lee Martin’s futuristic concept, Bloom, encourages a healthy relationship between children and food by allowing them to grow their own produce using steam.

Electrolux Design Lab 2015 update: People’s Choice voting open and location for the final event gala is Helsinki, Finland

The Electrolux Design Lab 2015 competition has now reached the stage of the People’s Choice voting. The most popular concept among the public will receive the prestigious People’s Choice Award and a 2 000 € cash prize. One of the lucky voters will win a trip to join the memorable final event which this year will take place in Helsinki, Finland on October 15th.

Two UK students make it to the top 35 semi-finalists of Electrolux Design Lab 2015

Electrolux today announced the 35 semi-finalists of the Design Lab 2015 competition. 5 of the submissions qualified by public vote and 30 were selected by Electrolux experts from the previous stage of 100 concepts. All concepts are now published on www.electroluxdesignlab.com.

Announcing the top 100 submissions in Electrolux Design Lab 2015 competition

Electrolux today revealed the 100 concepts that made it through to the first stage of the Design Lab 2015 competition. The top 100 entries came from across 33 countries. The UK was included in the leading 10 countries with the most submissions out of the top 100! The 5 countries with the most submissions included; South Korea, Czech Republic, Hungary, Chile and Lithuania. All concepts are now published on www.electroluxdesignlab.com. The public can influence the competition by voting for their favourite idea, as the 5 most popular concepts from the public vote will be directly qualified to the next stage of 35 semi-finalists.
