Floating air cleaner ‘Aeroball’ wins Electrolux Design Lab 2012

A hands-free stirring utensil, a tasting spoon that tells you what ingredient is lacking- this is what the future of household and cooking appliances looked like at the 10th annual Electrolux Design Lab competition. But there could only be one winner- Aeroball by Jan Ankiersztajn from Poland was awarded first prize in the finals held at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, 25 October 2012.

Electrolux’s ‘Vac from the Sea’ hitchhikes across New Zealand

Continuing its ‘world tour’ the vacfromthesea has now reached New Zealand . Here it has just hit the road to help spread awareness about the world’s bad plastic karma, how we can address this imbalance by improving recycling habits and what Electrolux is doing in this space. In a two week tour Green ambassador Julian Huitfeldt and the Electrolux Vac from the Sea will travel to schools and retailers across New Zealand, all the while raising money for Allergy NZ.

Electrolux and Vac from the Sea awarded by United Nations

Electrolux has received an award from the United Nations for Vac from the Sea. The award is given out by the United Nations in collaboration with the international public relations association IPRA and was presented at a ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey, October 21. Vac from the Sea also won the corporate communications category as well as the Efes Group Special Award.

AEG Neue Kollektion appliances chosen for Eco Village Demonstration House
