Adrian Mankovecký, student at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia, was awarded first place in the 2011 Electrolux Design Lab competition finals at the Room Home Intelligence Conference at the Business Design Center in London. Award winning architects and designers to judge eight global finalists.
The winner of the 2011 Electrolux Design Lab competition will need to impress a jury consisting of leading architects and product designers at the Business Design Centre, London on the 7th September 2o11. Danish designer Cecilie Manz; award winning architects Hayes and James Slade; and Henrik Otto, Senior Vice President of Global Design at Electrolux, will assess eight finalists as they present ‘Intelligent Mobility’ themed domestic appliances.

Rickard Hederstierna from Lund University in Sweden is the winner of the Electrolux Design Lab 2009 competition for inventing Cocoon. The winner was announced at finals in London on September 24, at 100% Design London, the UK’s leading architecture and design event.
