Company Investing to Create Advanced New Facility in Former Dillard’s Location in Richmond County
February 17, 2011 – Augusta, GA — Electrolux today announced that it has selected the previous Dillard’s location in the National Hills Shopping Center on Washington Road in Augusta to be the company’s new location for its expanded North American major appliances Customer Care Center.
The Customer Care Center provides support to Electrolux consumers, dealers and servicers. It includes inbound and outbound call center functions and necessary technical and support activities.
Electrolux will create 225 new full-time direct company positions at the Center by the end of 2013.
The new location will provide the facilities required by Electrolux to fulfill the company’s objective of providing excellence in customer support. Extensive alterations totaling more than $2.5 million will be made to the facility to create a top-notch call center operation with resources to accomplish world-class service for customers and consumers. Construction is expected to begin in the spring and be completed and in operation in the fall of 2011.
Electrolux appreciates the assistance of the Development Authority of Richmond County, Augusta – Richmond County and the Georgia Department of Economic Development who worked with the company to assist in making this relocation possible.
The Augusta area’s large talent pool of workers with strong call center operations skills was a major factor in the decision to maintain the call center operation in the greater Augusta area.
