Electrolux Major Appliances North America Appoints John Weinstock as Vice President Marketing, North America
Electrolux Major Appliances North America (EMA-NA) announced today that John Weinstock will join the company as Vice President Marketing. A seasoned marketing professional, Weinstock will oversee brand management, consumer insight-led innovation and integrated trade and consumer marketing campaigns for major appliances in North America. He will report operationally to Jack Truong, President and CEO of EMA-NA and functionally to Mary Kay Kopf, AB Electrolux Global Chief Marketing Officer.
“John’s track record in strategic brand development and growth will help take Electrolux Major Appliances to the next level in North America,” said Truong. “As we seek to further our position in the ultra-competitive appliance industry through our best-selling Electrolux and Frigidaire brands, his expertise in marketing will be an asset.”
Weinstock has spent nearly 20 years in the consumer durables and packaged goods industries, most recently as Vice President Marketing, Home Appliances & Home Entertainment for LG Electronics.
Prior to joining LG Electronics, Weinstock developed and implemented marketing strategies for Johnson & Johnson where he managed brands such as Johnson’s Baby and Band-Aid. He also served internationally for the company.
Weinstock holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
In 2008, Brandweek named Weinstock a “Marketer of the Year.”
He will relocate to Charlotte, NC and assume the Vice President Marketing role August 22.
